We’re all anxiously awaiting trips to the beach and lavish pool parties, and they’re finally in the near future! Each summer, bathing suit trends change slightly based on the fashion gods and what they choose to grace us with. This year the color is lavender, while style is all about the bandeau and fringe. If your watery adventures will be more rigorous and rebellious than simply remembering to turn while tanning, you’ll want to be sure the swimsuit you choose is up to the challenge. One piece bathing suits may be your best bet, keeping you looking pretty and practical.
- Will there be reconnecting and romance? Many of us take vacations to slip away from the stresses of our everyday lives and invest some much-needed energy into our relationship. Work, kids, and ever-expanding ‘to do’ lists can leave us sliding into slumber with barely a goodnight kiss. Nurturing romance is a must for a happy partnership, and once you’re miles away from the TV, computer, and the neighbor’s barking dogs, appreciating one another anew can be easy and awesome! Not sure what colorblocking is, or just not sure how to do it right? Simply put, colorblocking in fashion involves taking two or more boldly-colored garments or accessories and wearing them together for a crisp, bright impact. Occasionally, you will find single garments or accessories with the colorblocking already built in, such as a bright purple purse with a Kelly Green flap. The distinction between the colors is impossible to ignore, and the lines between the two shades are typically very clean and defined. As such, you are more likely to see this trend on a structured bag than a slouchy hobo, or on a tailored party dress as opposed to a casual tee. The more clear the definition between the two pieces, the cooler and chicer it looks! As for doing it right? Luckily, it’s harder to do it wrong. Unlike many trends, colorblocking is simple.
